DAYCARE

Not your average daycare! Play groups are curated every day based on dogs' size, play style, and personality. We work with our daycare attendees to maintain and teach polite behaviors that make the group setting safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Additional one-on-one training from daycare is available for clients with specific training goals.

Daycare is open Monday - Friday

Drop-offs from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Pickups from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

We're back! For everyone's safety, we ask that you wear a mask and use social distancing during drop-off and pickup.

WEEKDAY DAYCARE

Our daycare day starts at 7am and ends at 7pm. Throughout the day, attendees are playing with a small group of dogs that match them well in size, play style, and energy level, then cooling down between each play group by resting in our climate-controlled suite room. Dogs new to our program will attend a test day of daycare to assess their comfort in the group environment. Daycare attendees must be up-to-date on rabies, bordetella, and distemper/parvo vaccines and a parasite preventative.

Please call or email to check daycare availability.

Single day per dog - $48 (10 Packs available for $450 and credits are good for 365 days from date of purchase)

DAYCARE FEATURES

DAILY MANNERS

We proactively train behaviors that are conducive to a safe and polite group environment, including:

  • come away from play when called
  • group stays
  • wait at gates and doors
  • sit for attention
  • take turns
  • crate training

POSITIVE APPROACH

All training and interactions follow a positive reinforcement philosophy, which means we'll show your dog what we want them to do and reward them when they get it right. We use management to prevent unwanted or dangerous behavior - never squirt bottles, bark collars, physical punishment, or other harsh treatment.

BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENTS

Every dog new to our program undergoes a daycare test day, which we use to assess their preferred play style, ability to enjoy calm periods between playtimes, treat and toy preferences, and general comfort with the staff and other dogs. At the end of your dog's test day, we'll let you know if it's a good fit.

INTIMATE SETTING

Our exclusive program allows a maximum of 30 dogs per day to ensure everyone gets personal attention and plenty of play time. Compare to other area daycares, which can allow a daily total of up to 150 dogs per day with similar staffing.

Our smaller, curated play groups ensure that dogs spend time with friends of similar size who have similar play preferences. Play preferences can include but aren't limited to:

  • intensity, duration, and physicality of play
  • play style (body slammer, wrestler, chase player, cat-like paw player, prefers space)
  • ability to share toys
  • level of enthusiasm for pools

REST PERIODS

Between every play group, dogs are given the opportunity to rest and recharge. Constant play can lead to overly tired dogs who may act out or who have a hard time settling at home.

ALTERNATIVE SERVICES

Not every dog enjoys the daycare environment, and that's okay! Just like some people prefer home or a coffee shop over the bar or club, some dogs don't like daycare. If that's the case, we have other ways to give your dog mental and physical exercise during the day. Ask us about our Canine Coaching from home program!
